What this fabric does
- Self-covered fabric belts crease where they are knotted and keep that crease.
- The buckle is a zinc alloy and can mark pale cloth if it is pulled tight over a long day.

Why it is made this way
The fastest way to change a straight dress is to put a waist on it, and the fastest way to ruin one is a stiff belt that buckles the cloth. These are soft-backed, 3.5 cm wide, and 175 cm long so they wrap twice on most of our size range.
Two per set, in a terracotta and a cream, so they carry across the catalogue's colourways.
