What this fabric does

  • The bodice sits on one shoulder and needs the fit at the bust to be right. The grip tape helps; it does not replace fit.
  • Crepe holds a soft crease across the lap and drops it within the hour.
Fabric and care in full

Why it is made this way

One shoulder means one anchor point, and everything else hangs off it. We run silicone grip tape along the inside of the bodice edge and add a concealed bra-strap keeper on the covered shoulder.

It still asks something of you across a long evening. A one-shoulder dress is not a dress you forget you are wearing.
