What this fabric does

  • The smocked back panel does not survive a hot dryer. Line dry it.
  • Tie straps loosen through the day and need retying.

Why it is made this way

Tie straps look adjustable and usually are not — they run out of length after 3 cm. Ours give 11 cm of real travel, which is enough to move the bodice line meaningfully for different torso lengths.

The back panel is smocked so the bodice stays put once the straps are set.
