What this fabric does

  • A rib knit is close-fitting by construction and stretches over the hip when seated.
  • Line dry. Tumble drying shortens the elastane's life.

Why it is made this way

Rib knits are usually graded for opacity in whatever colour is convenient. We grade in the palest one we make, because that is the one that fails, and we publish the result for the whole colourway range.

It reads opaque. The rib is a 2×2 at 230 g/m² and it does not open under stretch the way a 4×2 at 180 does.
