What this fabric does

  • Two layers of cotton in full sun is warmer than one. That is the trade for the lining.
  • The print is reactive-dyed and will soften slightly over the first few washes.

Why it is made this way

Voile at 120 g/m² would read semi-sheer on its own, so this one carries a full cotton lining from shoulder to hem. That is the difference between a print you can wear to a midday ceremony and one you cannot.

The puff sleeve is gathered into a bound edge rather than elastic, so it holds its shape through a long afternoon instead of collapsing.
