What this fabric does

  • The neck tie carries the full weight of the skirt. Over a long evening you will feel it at the nape.
  • Matte crepe holds a soft crease at the waist after sitting; it drops out within the hour.

Why it is made this way

The halter carries the weight of the skirt at the back of the neck, so the tie length changes how the front sits. We built in 8 cm of adjustment and marked it, because a halter that is 2 cm too long reads differently in every photograph.

Lined from shoulder to hem in the same crepe. Under our backlight rig the outline behind the fabric does not read.
