What this fabric does

  • The shirred band relaxes over the day and will need a lift when you raise your arms.
  • Tumble drying shortens the life of shirring elastic. Line dry it.

Why it is made this way

An off-shoulder band that will not stay put is the most common complaint in this shape. We use four rows of shirring elastic with a 12 mm silicone strip bonded to the inside of the top edge, and we publish the relaxed and stretched band measurements separately.

It still needs adjusting when you raise your arms. Nothing in this construction changes that.
